Chantry School's Pre-Associate Programme is our intermediate level programme, for students who are looking to enhance their classical ballet with additional, complementary training.

The programme is a stepping stone towards becoming the Foundation Associate Programme.
PROGRAMME DETAILS

The programme aims to:
  • Strengthen and solidify ballet technique
  • Develop artistry and expressiveness
  • Help young dancers develop an understanding of the dance world

The Associate programmes are taught by Chantry's resident or guest teachers who are some of the UK's leading dance educators.

Students are required to attend a AUDITION to join the Pre-Associate Programme. Auditions take place during a current Associate sessions. The audition is to assess whether the class is the correct level for the student, and also for them to experience the programme. We look for potential, passion and a strong sense of dedication to the art in all our students.

Date/Time: Second Sunday of each month, 11:30am-1:00pm
Location: Dance Pointe, 5 Swinegate, Grantham, NG31 6RJ
Sessions: 11 sessions per year from September-July
Fee: £115.50 per year
Age: Groups are determined primarily by experience level, rather than age. However, the typical age of our Pre-Associate dancers is 9-11yrs.

Chantry School is a vocational British dance school and our standards are professional and exacting. We encourage students to commit fully to the demands of any Associate Programme they attend and present and conduct themselves accordingly.

Auditions are held at various points during the year.
