Modern dance is an umbrella term for a large variety of dance styles that include (but are not limited to) Western Concert dance, Theatrical dance, Lyrical dance, Jazz dance and Commercial Jazz.
Chantry's Open Modern Dance sessions primarily focus on developing a strong technical jazz base, and the ability to then apply this base when learning different styles of modern dance choreography. The programme helps students:

Schools awarded CDMT’s Recognised School Award demonstrate that their pre-vocational courses adhere to the standards demanded by the industry; standards designed to protect and safeguard students in their dance training.
