Chantry School's Introductory Associate Programme is especially for young dancers aged 6 and over, who are looking to enhance their dancing with additional, complementary training.
The programme is also designed to prepare students for entry into the Pre-Associate Programme, which is the next level programme.
The programme aims to:
* strengthen and solidify ballet technique
* encourage dancers to develop the discipline and focus of classical ballet
* prepare dancers for entry into the Pre-Associate Programme
The Associate programmes are led by Gail Gordon - Chantry Dance Company’s Dance Director & West End choreographer - and taught by Chantry's resident or guest teachers who are some of the UK's leading dance educators.
Students are required to attend a AUDITION to join the Introductory Associate Programme. Auditions take place during a current Associate sessions. The audition is to assess whether the class is the correct level for the student, and also for them to experience the programme. We look for potential, passion and a strong sense of dedication to the art in all our students.
Date: Fourth Sunday of each month
Location: Dance Pointe, 5 Swinegate, Grantham, NG31 6RJ
Sessions: 11 sessions per year from September-July
